We are announcing advances in multiple projects that are incubated in the Pistoia Alliance AI Center of Excellence:
We are launching a new Community of Interest in the minimal standards for description of AI models and data, created as a merger of two earlier project ideas: Standards that enable a marketplace for AI/ML data sets and Minimum Information About an AI/ML Model. The initial call on October 14th was attended by representatives from ELIXIR EU, UCSF, and BIOVIA. The founding members of the CoI from UCSF have recently published a paper on this topic. We are planning to organize a web panel on the standards in AI in the near future.
The BioAssay FAIR Annotation project that is also informally known as “DataFAIRy” will be starting the proof-of-concept annotation work this month.
View the portfolio of emerging project ideas for the Pistoia Alliance in the newly updated Confluence site or submit new project ideas on this form on the Innovation webpage. The project ideas previously created in our CoE, in addition to those mentioned above, are here:

A gentle reminder to vote in the online poll on the current challenges in AI and ML in drug discovery and pharmaceutical R&D. Now when the Artificial Intelligence technology is entering the post-hype stage, what topics should our community focus on?
