  • Biomarkers have become an essential part of drug discovery, targeted therapies and patient selection strategies. Imaging biomarkers, based on PET, MRI and CT scans, can be used to assess disease progression and response to treatment over time and to draw evidence from retrospective data.   • Regulatory considerations for artificial intelligence technologies in GI endoscopy. This paper is quite general and provides an excellent review of the current and emergent FDA procedures, and does not require special medical knowledge in endoscopy.
  • Approval of artificial intelligence and machine learning-based medical devices in the USA and Europe (2015–20): a comparative analysis. A review with many references to relevant use cases.
