• View the recording of the ML CoE webinar titled “AutoDesigner, a De Novo Design Algorithm for Rapidly Exploring Large Chemical Space for Lead Optimization”, which took place on May 12^th. Karl Leswing, Machine Learning Lead at Schrödinger, described applications to the design and synthesis of D-amino acid oxidase inhibitors with AutoDesigner, a novel molecular design algorithm that allows for a more effective sampling of the chemical space. This webinar had a record high attendance of nearly 250 live viewers from all over the world.
• Register for the new AI CoE webinar “Valuation of AI investments” scheduled for June 29^th 2022 at 11 am EST (8 am PST, 4 pm London). Today the hype that surrounded artificial intelligence in the previous years is largely gone, and the industry practitioners are looking for solid use cases and proof of value. Prashant Natarajan, VP of H2O.ai, and Dr. Peter Henstock, ML&AI Technical Lead, Pfizer, will discuss the economics of AI in the pharmaceutical industry.
• The Pistoia Alliance Good Machine Learning Practices (GMLP) working group of the AI CoE is invited to present in the special session on the best practices in Machine Learning in the 21^st European Conference on Computational Biology. This conference will take place on September 12^th 2022 in Sitges, Barcelona, Spain. Our session is in the afternoon local time, allowing virtual attendance from the EU and from America. You may also attend the conference live on-site. We are now seeking speakers and discussion panel members for this event. Interested parties please contact Vladimir Makarov.
• The GMLP working group is looking for additional members to help author the remaining sections of the best practices guide. Interested parties please contact Vladimir Makarov.
